The roots of Ace Iron

are in the scrap metal recycling business begun by Sam Lando in the 1920's. His son, Irving Lando, founded Ace Iron when he returned from his Army service at the end of World War II. Irving bought and sold scrap metals from the multitude of manufacturing facilities in the Kalamazoo area.

Today, Ace Iron and Metal is led by Irving's son Robert, who has more than 35 years of knowledge, experience and relationships in the metals industry.

Ace Iron's business has evolved to include powdered metals, precious metals, catalytic converters and a multitude of other materials important to today's market. Clients include manufacturers in the automotive, medical instruments, and munitions industries as well as machinery and parts makers from around the world.
