The picturesque Applegate Valley, located in Southern Oregon, consists of 181 square miles of mountains,

valleys, rivers and forests that run along the Applegate River corridor. The more than 10,000 residents depend

on the Applegate Valley Fire District to provide a wide range of first response services to one of Oregon's most

hazardous wildland urban interface areas. We have seven fire stations strategically located throughout the

District. A temporary tax levy has allowed staffing of headquarters twenty-four hours a day with seven full time

employees. However, 52 District-wide volunteers provide the backbone of the Applegate Valley Fire District.
