We originally open the school in 2007 in Millington and recently relocated to Birch Run. The Head Instructor Andrew Rydell is a 3rd Degree Black Belt who has been teaching for many years. He has sucessfully competed throughout Michigan and is a Bronze Medalist in the World Karate Association. He firmly believes that competition brings out the best in students, it gives them a constructive way to show what they have been learing and lets them meet people who share a common interest.

Our students have an opportunity to join the Competition Team and the Demonstration Team. The DDK Demo Team provides classes or demonstrations to non-profit groups as a community service.
