We are not your average animal rescue. Established in 2002, East County Animal Rescue is a grassroots effort of volunteers who are passionate about helping animals in need within the San Diego community. Many of our volunteers have dedicated their lives to helping animals. We are most often found out on the streets of the community going to great lengths to spay and neuter animals.

We are committed to helping animals who get left behind. We are concerned with the over population issues in our community and spend most of our time in population reduction efforts. We do this by spaying and neutering animals. We also work to find homes for animals who would otherwise be left homeless. To help ensure our animals only go to loving homes, we have a rigorous adoption process.

Spayed and Neutered over 1000 animals in the San Diego community last year - over 500 of those animals were feral or stray.
