Regional competitions are held in various states throughout he midwest. The national event is held at Great Wolf Lodge in Mason, Ohio (northern Cincinnnati). Winners receive trophies, cash awards, scholarships and more. The entry fees are the same for both the regional and national competitions. Teachers are awarded rebates for bringing the most entries.
