The Fibres & Fabrics division of the Ideal Group produces fibres, yarns and backing, used in carpets for domestic use and automotive inner & trunk compartments. The fabrics division also produces technical textiles for agro- and geoapplications. The division combines know-how and continuous research & development to stay ahead of competition. At Komen, we do flat tape extrusion, warping, DREF spinning and weaving. The production process is fully integrated from the polypropylene granule to the woven fabric under one roof. All waste is recycled and regranulated to be reused in the production process. The different products are branded as: Lysback®: Primary and Secondary carpet backing, Terralys®: Geotextiles, Flexlys®: Flexible packaging, Lysdrain®: Agrotextiles.
