J Quillian began painting at age five in West Texas with his friend, Roy Orbison. He won numerous art contests in grade and high school including an first place award at the United Nations at age 17.

Quillian created biographical portraiture and pioneered with the impetus of Russian artists polyptych mural painting. His best examples include the history of the Vietnam War in his 15 panel mural, PROTECTOR and LEGACY OF LARCENY portraits of 12 U.S. bank CEO's in harsh commentary as criminals.
