Well having finally made it out of the so-called cold snap! we are back to work doing some landscaping for a client we have worked for in the past. The client wanted designs creating for her garden and an inner courtyard area to make the most of their potential for entertaining.Once the designs had been approved we set to work to bring her dreams and inspirations to reality.Using a combination of Indian sandstone for the paving and some treated timber to create a pergola feature in the main area we demonstrated how by dividing areas to give them their own purpose can make the most of any garden and that by adjusting levels you get something more than just a patio.Our clients have been tremendous in their patience due to the bad weather and for this we thank them.We hope we will be leaving them with their dreams realised to its maximum potential.

Planting is generally the last job, and often we recommend that customers have a personal input into this themselves, as we believe evry customer and job should be individual. Many customers find this a fulfilling way of taking ownership of their new garden; of course our advice is always at hand.For the customer who wishes to progress at this stage on their own we can provide a planting plan if desired to offer a little support. The plan suggests plants and locations that work together and give you something to draw the eye all year round.

Walling adds structure to your garden, creating features, paths and distinct areas which characterise the professionally landscaped garden. Although we can build in brick, we normally find that stone gives a special atmosphere that everyone finds more attractive. We use natural Derbyshire Grit sandstone, with a mix of stone sizes and discreet mortar which gives a drystone effect, warm and full of interest. The stones we use are left over from quarrying operations.
