In 1972, MTD Micro Molding was founded by Richard Tully. Originally named Miniature Tool & Die, Inc., MTD quickly established itself as a leading manufacturer of miniature connector injection molding for the electronics industry.

In 1998 the company moved into a new facility and began concentrating all R&D efforts to suppport micro mold construction.

In 2008, Richard's son, Dennis, assumed leadership of the company. Today, MTD Micro Molding continues to grow and designs and manufactures microscopic components for the medical industry in its precision clean room facilities in Massachusetts. MTD Micro Molding's precisely manufactured micro products are used in many medical devices.
