Pizza Pita opened on March 29th, 1989 on Victoria Avenue and was named after its limited menu of pizza and falafel. The restaurant experienced immense success due to its modern interior, creative menu, and uniformed staff. The owners, Chaim and Tzvi, were hardworking and innovative, introducing concepts such as phone deliveries and parties in the basement. However, they outgrew their Victoria location and aimed to create a kosher version of fast food industry giants.
