August of 1993, R.E.D.E.E.M Community Outreach was incorporated as a 501 (c ) (3) nonprofit organization. Sister DeBorah Williams knew that five factors had to be put in place for the ministries to make an impact: enhance the present community resources, provide education, concentrate on development individually and community-wide which should result in employment and the empowerment of residents for these vital missions. This grassroots, faith-based ministry was committed to: Improving the appearance & safety of the community by developing co-operative gardens, farmer's market & fruit orchard to replace drug infested & abandoned properties; Introduce Agribusiness & entreptrenuership to residents; Increase community communication and participation to Sustain Lives!
