The principal consultant for RLS is Robert Sypult, who has over 35 years experience in the energy field and law enforcement. He has held executive management positions in energy companies, and has chaired a number of industry and trade organizations, including past-president of the Los Angeles County Peace Officers Association, chaired the Edison Electric Institute Security Committee, chaired the ASIS Utility Committee, and past-president of the California Utilities Emergency Association. He has served on the standards drafting committee for NERC's Critical Infrastructure Protection standards and the implementation team for the application of the standards to the nuclear industry, and co-authored many of the ES-ISAC security guidelines for the industry, post 9/11.
