It serves markets, such as building and construction, electronics, food and retail, household and personal care, industrial processes, packaging, transportation, and water. The Company operates six segments: Coatings, Monomers, Performance Chemicals, Electronic Materials, Salt, and Adhesives and Sealants. It operates approximately 100 manufacturing and 35 research facilities in 27 countries. In October 2006, the Company sold its Automotive Coatings business (a business unit of the Coatings segment) to Nippon Paint Co., Ltd.
