II have been working in the active sportswear apparel industry since 1992 in areas of design, domestic and off-shore development, sales presentation and marketing strategies, as well as new product exploration and design team management. I am actively involved in snowboarding, down-hill and x-country skiing, road biking, running, back packing, and triathlon, all which greatly enhance my ability to design technical, functional clothing. I have a first hand understanding of the "function" needed. I have been working on a freelance basis for the past 14 years providing me with a great deal of experience working remotely with a wide variety of brands and development styles, schedules and strategies. I believe in designing clothing for a purpose, protection from the elements, or enhancement of the activity the garments are designed for ... with function and comfort first ... but style a very close second!
