What is Sporting Clays?

If you are not familiar with the term Sporting Clays; it's often referred to as Golf with a Shotgun! It combines different target "Presentations" of clay targets (BIRDS) in a fashion to replicate bird hunting. Targets are "launched" from an electrically controlled machine called a "Trap". There are Crossing, Incoming , Quartering, Going Away, Looping, Straight up in the air and other "Presentations" all at varying distances for the shooter to attempt to break. Additionally; there are Rabbits that roll on the ground or hit a bump and jump into the air.

A Sporting Clays course is laid out to allow a group (Squad) of 2 -6 shooters to engage the targets on different stations. Each station will provide the shooters with a number of targets. Only one shooter at a
